    Camping or Hunting?

Some of you might be interested in this. I spend three days in the bush and install a forum brought fire in my big canvas tent.
Night one I cook roast lamb, kumera, red onions, carrots, peas and gravy. Night two it’s a simple dish of chilli and meat loaf.
An awesome three days away from cellphone coverage and a great way to reset the mind.
    As a bonus I shoot a fallow, oops a red fawn! :-)

Hopefully either the link will work or a forum expert will assist.

I picked up that fire proof mat off Aliexpress. I was also going to make a plywood hearth to go under the fire too.

Yeah it’s all about the tucker when you can drive to your camping spot.

What a great idea. I also couldn't justify the cost of a Mia but that's got me thinking.

we had the double room version of that tent..awesome bit of kit...now that you have poked a plurry big hunk of hot steel out the roof,my next suggestion will have to be approached with caution....eg leave plenty of room for safety..... a big tarpolin.we used cheap blue warehouse jobbie right up over top and down to ground on both sides means tent is double skinned with air gap between both layers ,provides insulation from excess heat in summer and a bit of noise reduction if persisting down... by taking it right down to ground on both sides we used bungy cords between tarp and pegs... gave it a little bit of wiggle room in breaze.
great tracking job Pippa....she deserves a pat for that one.

    Hey Cam

The fire I purchased from a member here who imported a whole lot, some plain steel and some stainless. I think he was importing a whole lot more recently?
