To celebrate 1000 posts - a little whine

I think I posted up pics of my archery buck a while back when he came back from the taxis. Aside from the horrible experience of it all with the taxidermist I went with I noticed straight away a quarter inch gap in the seam of the back of the neck. I told the taxi only to have him say "it's normal". Be fucked it's normal. I've since spoken to a very good taxi who said there is no way he'd let this out of his shop. what are your opinions?

The stitching coming apart. It's much worse than the pic shows

The mount itself is ok, but I prefer the guy that did my white one.

Also, would anyone else be interested in a taxidermy section under the hunting part of the forum? I've thought about it as a bit just for people to show their mounts whether they're deer, goats, birds, fish etc. It wouldn't necessarily be the most used but I'd always check it

Happy 1000 posts to me, drinks allround

Bummer about the coat. Both those mounts look beautiful. I'd be keen on a taxi section, I don't have any photos I could put up but I do like looking at a good taxidermy job.

That looks worse than some red heads I have seen that are over 50 years old and spent the last 10years on a deck in the sun and rain

I would be giving him the opportunity to fix it for free and if he doesn't or can't, get someone who can to fix it and let the world know who fucked it up and who fixed it.

Ps shoulda let the white one breed.

It varies a lot depending on what you want and the quality you want. It's not always the case but generally like most things you get what you pay for.
