It's interesting terrain for sure. The tectonic fold is very distinct, along that line you find all this "spikes and axes" that will hurt you. Below the line you find the eroded remains of the coastal farmland, dry and full of shrubbery/thorns that has a defence against grazing animals. Above the line you find the forests, valleys and predators. I was told that the chamois lately had seen predation from wolves and lynx, hence the low number of kids and also why they moved to these "stone fortresses".
The carry system was simply a ball net with an alpine fast sling 120cm slung across the backpack carry system; locked into place with two carabiners. (240 grams kit). If you don't put the sling via the backpack straps, you cut blood circulation. Worked fine in the sense that the animal was under control and reasonably balanced, but uncomfortable for sure. Not recommended unless the options are worse.
