Christening a new gun in the Sunday sun

What a farken great weekend in the central HB, a Saturday night of laughs with Dunc n Mel, a successful morning of sorting shit, then an afternoon hunt with the guys & kids n tow

A plan was hatched to blood the new Sako, approaching our shooting spot & glassing non were seen, then the young eyes of Hunter ( Brads son ) spied three Fallow far right of where we weren't looking, standing front on & checking us out ( probably been there for 5 mins, were in no hurry to fuk off. Deer pop up in the most unexpected places alright ) 180 yards & laying in a hill top of Callies , I pop up & get a slightly better position, just about to fire & "BOOM" fuk seems someone cut my lunch !!! I tap the trigger n down range goes ye mighty 155 amax

Luckily it did the bizo, two bweaty Fallow spikers on the deck with two lovely 308 Sako's, then Brads did the butchery, What a total GC

I reckon someone set you up in the thistles.
I remember us barefoot kids getting stuck in a hay paddock when we "discovered" where the thistles had been, old man left us there.

Well done! Fallow deer or Sika deer to me is real deer, and almost nothing from it can be wasted. I am too busy right now, otherwise I will trade you with ammo and beers for the skin,
