Funny that you should say that @blip. I was reading about the effects of the ice caps melting and apparently when that happens in the next warm period the extra mass at the equator will slow the earths rotation enough to extend the day length by some minute fraction of a second. Only a minute step toward reversing rotation but a step none the less. It does come with the unfortunate side effect of raising sea levels by around 70 metres.
