had almost the very same thing with 2 reds about 20 years ago...boned out the first one then realized shots were in wrong place so went looking....sure enough there lay the 1st one stone dead.
another time mate dropped hind and as we approached spot there stood hind so it got shot again and fell next to its already dead mate.... great stuff on the big carry out.
