    DON'T BE AFRAID...

    ...OF THE RAIN...

Wet and cold conditions offer an opportunity, so long as you are at the right sheltered spot at the right time.

Shot this tonight with the .243 at about 130 yards.
I tried the 85 grn Interbond for the first time. Devastating.

nice one, yes wet soggy weather does make for some good opportunities.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

To round out the story, I should add that the hind had a runner with it that must have been a very late fawn because it still had spots on it. Brian my man servant and gun bearer dispatched it, and I'm having the skin tanned for my wife who wants to cover an ottoman with it.
Two yearlings made good their escape. It's was quite the family group.

While I dealt to the hind and her son, i kidded Brian to carry on and make the most of the last light and he saw some more but decided that we had meat and it was getting dark so left them. One was a nice stag. They will keep for another day, and hopefully it won't be raining.

Brian's was a great neck shot at 150 odd yards, on a very small target.
