    Yep wise words there Tahr. I've experienced that a few times over the years. Had a classic one on Saturday night, roared in a young 6 pointer to within 30 metres. He kept looking over his shoulder, so I had an inkling there were more deer where he came from. Right on dark a large bodied stag materialised out of the trees, turned out to be a good 10. Left them both, but was a good lesson for the budding hunter I had with me, as he was keen to drop the young stag straight away.

    Couple of years and he might be a shooter.
    1000yds is fun, 1500yds is getting interesting, 2000yds is exciting, 2500yds will blow your mind
