    A few missions of winter (photo heavy)

    I'm always complaining to the missus that I don't get outside enough "doing stuff" that I love. It always cracks her up, most of the time she replies "you're so full of sh*t!"

    Looking back through a few of my photos from the winter months I kind of get what she's on about, I've managed to get out a bit this winter. No excuse not too really (apart from work), we've had fantastic weather here in Southland, and there seems to be plenty of animals running about.

    Spent time with the dog looking for Chamois;

    Explored some new valleys. Found plenty of cham-wa's but none worth shooting;

    Hunted in the snow, "any minute now"

    Found a nice eater;

    Winter time's great, deer show up in the funniest of places, caught these three way out in the open!

    A spot of duckshooting;

    And a few possums;

    A pleasant weekend visit from a couple of Jaffa's, genuine good buggers off the forum;

    Few feeds of paua, sea's often less than 10 deg C down here in winter, you don't stay in long!!

    Got the boat out, witnessed some pretty mean molly scraps;

    Obviously caught some fish;

    Hunted some fallow;

    Snapped out!

    Saw this nice buck once, but unfortunately no rifle. We live and learn :;

    A few tahr, none shot this winter though;

    A rough looking red with a rough looking bugger, my cousin (and good mate, Mo);

    Managed to keep the freezer full, not to mention multiple friends and families freezers full as well :

    A wary hind, onto us from a long way off;

    Unfortunately for her and her young one, not "a long way off" enough! ;D

    Here's to spring and summer hunting just around the corner. Happy and safe hunting 8-)

    Cheers
    JoshC

    Fantastic Josh, and you found time to go to work how?

    Nice one Josh. Some great trips for sure. That Fallow Buck was a beauty. Hopefully you'll catch up with him again next year.

    Fantastic.

    Those bastards from Auckland look dodgy.

    OK guys throttle off with the dodgy smelly Aucklander insinuations. I am sure we are not all bastards (although in my case that is why my old man had to marry the old lady after I was born) and I am sure we are not all smell (although once again, I do get to ponging at the end of a long day hunting). Oh fuck it what do I care what you say.
