A few missions of winter (photo heavy)

I'm always complaining to the missus that I don't get outside enough "doing stuff" that I love. It always cracks her up, most of the time she replies "you're so full of sh*t!"

Looking back through a few of my photos from the winter months I kind of get what she's on about, I've managed to get out a bit this winter. No excuse not too really (apart from work), we've had fantastic weather here in Southland, and there seems to be plenty of animals running about.

OK guys throttle off with the dodgy smelly Aucklander insinuations. I am sure we are not all bastards (although in my case that is why my old man had to marry the old lady after I was born) and I am sure we are not all smell (although once again, I do get to ponging at the end of a long day hunting). That fallow was pretty nice. How hard did you kick yourself when you saw it?

I knew there were a few nice bucks getting about in this area, so seeing him confirmed that for me. Was not worried that he "got away" as he won't move far from here, and there's always next year. I was happy enough just to get a half decent photo of him, knowing he's still running about gives a hunter an excuse to spend more time on the hill! ;)
