    a few trips

been out a bit lately just poking round new spots and checking out the old spots to see if there's anything new going on.
went up peel for a look with a mate , found some new wallows seen some deers got stuck in the snow smashed scrub was definitely type 2 fun. we didn't shoot any deer as we were both lazy and didn't want to thrash round in the scrub again.

next trip went the other way to the way we went the 1st time , thinking we could avoid the heap of scrub in the way to the deers, nah that didnt work at all as the deer were now on the other side of the scrubby bit . watched a pig for a while but he didn't stop was off on a trip over the hill, was quite fun watching him pick his way round the face. seen a reasonable stag so will have to go find him again and shoot some of his hinds.

last trip was a cock up got the 1st spot and there's 4 lights up the ridge so off to plan b , plan b had 2 ute's there also. should've got up earlier . so plan c it was bush/scrub hunting. got close a few time but no cigar . just about shat my self sneaking in on a pair of yearlings. i didn't see the old bitch of a hind until she barked at me about 5m away, had to have lie down for a bit . sweetbaby jeebus they are loud. she wasnt happy either and hung round for a while barking . bumped another few on the way out . next time .

out tomorrow for a thar. hopefully not much scrub.

In which case the easy ones are precious. Do you go up the ck, the one with a tight gorge and have to dive through the pool, mind it could be different now, pool might be all silted up.or is the ladder still there? Nice bit of bush to left of waterfall aye.

That creek is horrible and only for summer. I took the rifle for a swim in the pool once after I slipped of a small ledge on the true right of the waterfall.
My son and I have experienced the same "fun" in that scrub after decided to "just head uphill till we hit the track". We only crawled for one hour.

Went up there once with Mickys son, could help one another with footholds. Been up there several times on my own, always deer sign in the open bit of the ck. Saw tahr not far up from the forks below waterfall.
