Sh*t - looks like he'd score alright too @Pongo12!
Bloody good shooting lately mate :)
Saw 7 fallow this morning but never got closer than 480 yds, too far for a 223, the two stags I saw had shed their antlers, nice and fat though. I need to go back with something bigger.
Good shot another walked past just after the shot.
"We will see how it goes"
Umm i think it goes alright!!
Well done and a nice buck
Hamish
Nice buck and dropped him like a sack of spuds.
Should go 200 + DS Nice head Well Done.
Think that's the first head iv seen from up that way with no split palms wel done
Half the Bucks get shot too early as three year olds before they get a chance to grow their splits out. Just takes an onto it bastard to shoot the actual rubbish and leave the good potential. Then ya get nice heads like this coming through

no fkcing round with that cal. nice!
nice shooting .what point are you aiming at on all these deer ?
Its depending on the distance of the shot. At those long distances im aiming high, in the middle of shoulder/base of neck. For closer shots say sub 400 I aim middle of shoulder/base of neck. Because the bullet arc is not so severe at close distance.Or head/neck to save a bit of mess. This is for a broadside facing deer. But as the angle of the animal changes so should your point of aim. Think about where the bullet will exit ,not so much where it enters.
Hit them where it hurts.
Cheers. Cam
