    I went out for a walk on the East Coast, saw a few tahr, made a film.

    The silence in Gimp's movies is another character, not simply an aesthetic.

    Curious about the level of fitness required to chase the mountain goats. On average, how far do you guys walk in, what is the altitude gain ?

    On this trip, day 1 walked ~3 hours in, about 6-8km and maybe 400vertical, pretty cruisy, just looking around. Day 2, 15 hours on the hill, climbed 1500+ vertical, hard to say how many km, deep snow made it hard going, saw over 100 animals in the day. Day 3, a few hours out with heavy packs, all downhill. Mine was ~36kg, my mates was 47.5kg with the skin and head... should have carried a bit of it for him....
