First Arapawa for the young fella

Out on the weekend, spotted a group of wild woolies several ridges away and decided we needed some mutton.

Also a good chance for my 10yo Gunner to get his first trophy animal.

He knocked over this ram after a 45min stalk with a single shot to the heart with the 270. We had to be quite sneaky and wait for the animal to come down off the skyline several times.
    His dad was pretty proud.

I've started putting some feed in the mouths of animals we shoot. Just a better visual than blood and tongues hanging out.

Magazine articles where we have the kids with their first this or that are the best, eh. Really put a smile on my face.

It's become a favorite thats for sure. Was great in Africa, loved the set trigger when shooting off the sticks. Looked good beside this elephant print too: Name: Screenshot_20210805-075140_Chrome.jpg
