That was fine shooting in those conditions. What range was it and how strong was the wind, what projectile do you use?

    Excellent.
Big open country. Great you can get a quad around it.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

    Thanks for that guys.
I used the Hornady ELD M 225gr and it was not nearly as good as the 6,5mm 140gr Amax.

The lowmground here is actually awful for the quad, very wet and plenty of mud/moor to get stuck in (which we did)

Good filming Norway ! Thanks for posting. Specially good were the water drops and the clouds flow.
What was the wind speed there ? My guess, looking at the grass moving, would be around 3 or 4 metres per second.

Depends on where in the film. In the sheltered spots yes, but it was a lot more during the shooting, up towards 7-8 when we stalked over the ridge (if I remember correctly).

I use a 5-25x56 scope with a red dot bought for fast target aquisition with scope on high x. That idea only worked on the range, so the red dot is coming off again (waste of money).

Thanks Norway, it’s good to learn from your ever expanding experience.

The Norma catalogue says the 300NM was developed to work in 338LM platforms and give better ballistics.

What was the rifle you were using there? How were feed and other useability factors?

Do you think we will see 300 NM in jagd / hunting models like the sako 85 long range or just in sport / target or tactical platforms like the TRG M10 ?
