    First walk with the 270

Didn't see any deer but went to an area I had never been to before was a very steep climb up the hill but when I got to the top it was well worth it even though I left my foo foo valve somewhere further down the hill. Was going to recheck the sighting of my rifle when I got back down but was too buggered to do anything else so went home and died for a few hours to recover. Really got to get my fitness back into shape.

Go for a couple of casual walks during the week and get back up that hill next weekend, looks like a likely spot

    Nice looking country Hunter308.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

    I can vouch for that.

Good on you for getting out and doing it.

Nice - looks similar to where I'm heading next weekend. Steep as crap but good deer country. If you're serious about fitness a 20-40 minute walk a couple times a week with a heavy pack will do wonders. The infantry taught me that very very quickly.
