Fit? Haha. The most unfit I have been in my life.

Didn't wear putties/gators because it was 25-30+ °C, hotter in the sun. Lucky I wasn't nude actually it was so hot.

Yes - the synthetic Putties that I have are like a bloody plastic bag wrapped around your lower leg/ankle !!
I use the top of old socks (ex long Gumboot ones) with the foot part cut off - stops debris but they do roll up a tad - also keep the socks clean from Hook Grass - my biggest hate this time of year with hairy legs
Always been temped to shave my legs - but would dread to think what the lads would start saying so put up with a knife scrape when back home to remove.

I have never eaten Thar meat - which is better Thar or Chamois ??

Thar is nearly as good as Fallow IMO, Chamois is nearly as good as rutting Billy Goat.

That's interesting - as i would have thought (looking at the animals) that it would have been around the other way.
