    First post in a long time .Strobe and I first hunt together in 6 months he has being away at taratahi at Masterton .So when he got back we headed off to north taranaki for 4 days it was a great trip even though it was very wet we got out and shot a few goats for the freezer when the sun came out .shot 17 between us strobe got 11 and myself 6

    another strobe shot .we got 2 back legs hammed 5 kilos of salami and 20 kilos of Minch .It was a good trip strobe can shoot them gut and carry them back by himself now . We are going to do another trip soon iam not going to see him for another 6 months

    looks like a great hunt, glad to hear some of the meat was used and not dumped.

    Those goats will be prime meat after eating that grass. I hunt goats down that way also and have found that the meat on them is great. Goat meat can be very under rated. Good effort sometimes

    Yeah man, can be wicked eating. My missus has a good friend who is indian and her old lady gets them over for 'cooking class' and teaches em all the tradition indian recipies and techniques.
    Got my missus to ask for a goat recipe, and what we got was an absolute pearler. I'll post it up nextg time I do a goat curry
