Bugger hate that when it happens your not on your own mate i have missed some unbelievable easy shots at times must be that cant miss this surely but you can dont aim proper i guess . Bloody good vid footage though
yeah, starting to really enjoying using the camera and taking some video, didn't have the camera set up right so it could be better. couldn't believe our luck with how many deer popped out (it was all luck) the one my mate wanted wasn't presenting shots and he tried to give it one before it disappeared, any other day it probably would've stood side on for long enough to get one in him.
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.
Bugger, some great footage though and plenty of deer. A rushed shot on an animal moving away is always risky.... Many of us have been there and missed that sort of shot as well. As I have got more experienced I've learnt to be more patient with my hunting which really helps. The last trip we did we gave up a shot on a mob of deer across a gully as just couldn't get a good rest for a steady shot. What that meant was that an hour later we encountered another two nearby and managed to bag one with a sit down shot over 100m. Patience on the first deer seen meant we didn't spook the area and got another chance and bagged one. Missing is always frustrating but he'll it's just fun being out there and seeing animals.
some nice footage there
we have all been there, missed a sitter, some of us have done it many times
your next shot will be spot on
