    The hardest thing....

The last pull after a 30K mission in the rain yesterday

Did a Kaimai mission yesterday Clay road via Waipapa road hoping to tip something over that was enjoying dressing with it's salad after some precepation yesterday.

    Steady drizzle low cloud.

Plenty of pig sign, sparse red....

    Found an interesting Scarab bettle

All in all great preseason training

Thirty K is certainly a decent slog. I would have eaten the bug.

    Bugger Me!

    30k.

You must have walked past all the deer.

A big day for me is a 5-8km walk.

    Cheers

30 k in that weather is punishing. Would have been to wet for the deer. They would have been having a nap under a nice dry punga

Majority of distance old logging roads pre 1970's day pack usual items - 15K in and out the same way, bush lawyer, gorse, blackberry & regenerating scrub sound nice well it isn't.
Area know as Whakamarama Plateau great views on a nice day of the Western Bay. I hunt the hot spot's clearing's etc. minimal sign move onto the next area local knowledge needed.
