Bullets can often be under the skin even tho there is an exit hole in the skin Toby! Tis is due to the flesh or a bit of bone being pushed out in front of the bullet, also if at a glancing angle they can exit the body but travel a long way between the skin and flesh,skin is very stretchy.
I shot a red once and the bullet exixted the front of the off side shoulder and the fully expanded bullet fell on the ground when I cut off the head!,zero damage once out of the shoulder meat.
