Home Arrest Relief Two - Hits and Misses Volume Two

I'm on leave so I thought I'd make another video to help you pass the time and to remind myself how luck I am to be able to hunt in this country with so many wonderful people.

Kia Kaha - this can't go on for ever. :-)

At least we're able to isolate in a well resourced and healthy country close to family and friends.

    Thanks for sharing.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

That was cool, great to see some of the reactions when hit (or missed). Sorta don't see that when your pulling the trigger.

    Thanks for that.

Yeah it’s interesting alright. All of the ‘instant kills’ were with my custom built .284 using 162 A-Max. I don’t have a large enough sample yet but no instant knock downs with the 300 RUM using 210 Bergers. I’m going to keep filming it and I’ll try to get one side on!

Yes the 284 Win seems to be a great performer, my next rifle may be one someday. I noticed some of the on the spot kills looked like the Hilar shot ( might be wrong) they sure went down quick.
I shot quite a good size Red stag several years back with my 300 Rum with a 208 gr A Max, 90 yards quatering away from me. Hit behind the shoulder the bullet exited front of chest, that stag folded all his legs up under his belly and lay there on his belly, never seen a twitch of anything stone dead. I suppose 4500 odd foot pounds energy has to account for something. Have you tried any of the ELD X or A Max in your Rum?

Yeah. I tried everything in this rifle and the only thing that shot was the Berger.

Cheers. The loudest thing would have been the 300 RUM with a radial muzzle brake. Hard on ears and deer.
