    Hunt & a Fish

Last week a mate & I headed up to lake Sumner for a couple of days to have a look around the place, have a hunt or two & do some fishing. Pretty much blew the whole three days but at least it wasn't cold. My mate had organised for us to stay in one of the huts at Loch Katrine which made it pretty civilised.

Bit of fishing, caught lots of small salmon but nothing of decent size.

My mate doesn't hunt but was keen to tag along to see what it's all about, we eventually came across 2 yearlings out feeding half an hour before dark one night & one of them them got a free jetboat ride! Shot it with the 7-08 that has recently had the Tui_man2 diet treatment, (6lb12oz scoped) great for carrying all day.

To get into Lake Sumner there is a small canal that runs between Loch katrine & Sumner, here is a bit of footage boating back thru it into Katrine

You look familiar? Have you had the misfortune of meeting me in Haast?
Or worse, been dropped in the hills somewhere?
