Shit @ANTSMAN that’s not great. Let me know if you need any venison and I’ll drop some around. My boy shot a huge fat stag (more about that later) earlier in the week and it looks mint.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Heal well, the wild beasts are still going to be out there when you hit the hills again.

Not a good idea this falling down stairs!
But get well and do as the Dr and physio say, it’ll pay off!

I'm in Welly too, so don't be afraid to put the call out on here if you need anything sorted while you're in recovery mode! I'm sure there'll be plenty of us about who are keen to lend a hand with (almost) anything.
    thanks mate- much appreciated!

so update- its been 9 months since i posted- my back is fine- no pain- its as tho nothing happened. I injured me shoulder in March back on the tools for 1 day- gosh darn it. Shoulders been frozen since- but through physio 4 mnths and now weekly massage therapy it is 75% recovered. I've had 9 months of recovery and being the office desk bitch in our little building business.
My main concern right now is being unfit as fark when I get out hunting again in a few weeks

@ANTSMAN i had a bad accident couple years back. broke the top of my Humerus and a bit more stuff around the joint. After been in a sling for 8 weeks and starting physio only to find out i had frozen shoulder lots of physio, couple off quarterzone's and exercise took about 10months to get semi better. Coming up two years since the accident and still wake up in pain some nights. Been back at work full time for 8 months
Recommend doing exercise in a therapy pool/ hot pool

Good on ya for posting about it.
Correctly, a moments inattention can cause alot of pain. We run a factory with alot of machinery that can do some serious damage if folk are not diligent about H/S, it's a message we push at every tool box meeting every shift start.
    Hope the recovery goes fast.

so take a young fit person with you...you can cruise along, spend lots of time glassing and if do get an animal, let youngun do majority of the donkey work... heck if you did nothing more than carry their rifle and binos etc it will be a big help.... great to read your on road to recovery.
