Yep @kiwijames , KK is James. Would recommend going over the top for sure, i think that valley would be epic roar or spring hunting if you were ok with covering a bit of ground

Amazing country for sure - not too much in the way of good heads coming out of that part of the Ruahines; but it's a fantastic area to test the legs and fortitude.

Epic story, that stream water looks pristine, not like the river i walk these days

Bloody awesome write up and pics , very rewarding I bet with the open sited old 303 , you have to admire the bow hunter that can take a deer with a bow on public land , a lot of patience required but unbelievably rewarding I’m sure .
