    Hunting in the rain.

Well just before the weekend I headed up to National Park for a bit of a hunt. The weather report was diabolical, but I was getting itchy feet as I hadn't been out in a bit, so off I went. There were patches of good weather over the days, but it was pretty much as expected.....bloody crappy. I didn't get the worst of the weather on camera as there was no way the camera would have survived in the rain. And when the rain did stop the wind blew like a bastard.

Still, it was a bloody good trip as any hunting trip with a day in the hills is better than a day at work or a day at home doing jobs on the wife's list!

My favourite saying is, as I head out the door, ‘it can’t rain forever’, but man I’ve got wet over the years hunting!
Good on you for just getting out there!

Yeah I've been going there all my life, so I've found a few spots!

@Sideshow funnily enough, I was butchering the animal today and I did find the bullet. I think it held together bloody well after smashing a bit of bone. I may have to change my view of ballistic tips!... I suppose I should weigh it to see how much of the 150gn are left.

Yes i did. It was a pretty good mushroom considering it had smashed a bit of bone and it weighed 88 grains of the original 150. (Picture of it on the reloading page in the 260 projectiles for Tahr thread)

Ahhh Yes....It is an absolute bastard! I have lost a few deer in it over the years, especially when the stuff is 6ft tall and you have to fight every step. They just vanish so easy and you curse yourself each time you go in....... Still, I'll go back in a couple of days and try for another one!...lol
