Well done to you and good on Puffin for taking you under his wing and showing you the tricks of the trade that could have taken a few years to work out on your on.

Excellent write up, well done on your success, and nice job on the butchering. That first meal of your own venison is almost as memorable as the hunt. And a big thanks to Puffin, for showing young fella's the ropes.

    Nice work!
You have a great tutor in Puffin in teaching you how to look after the meat.

Great yarn mate. Fark that looks steep!

A few good learnings there by the sounds.
    1. Get proficient at setting up for the shot
    2. Puffin is a bloody good bastard
    3. Don't trust Puffin when he says "an easy hunt".

    Keep the stories coming!

Well done @Big_Bear . Now join Wellington NZDA and get onto some branch trips and grow your independence. The meetings are generally interesting too. Make yourself known to me if you attend. Bruce.
