    Kaimanawas Winter Trip

Me & Grant spent the last few days in there playing hide and seek with the Sika. The Sika won the hide game and I came close to a few stags with one being a 6 pointer which came in to check me out but my guard was down while looking at the time on my GPS.

Thought you might recognize it and came to the conclusion it gets hammered. Nah was there on last light and it was mown down too much any way. There was an old carcass behind me though. A guy was off to bow hunt it the next day from the hut - waste of time in my opinion.

There were 16 there at one stage. The biggest mob I've seen is 50 odd.

Good looking brown. Ive been meaning to return for an opening day up there for a while.

The neighbours get upset if you shoot their deer though.
    Pointer and Rusky like this.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Yea, might get lucky but pretty slim odds id say. Often a wallow about 5m to the left of where the photo was taken and another up the top end, i reckon they mainly use them at night though.
