Took a trip a few weeks back with @Monk and his mates young fella Riley to the Kaweka. If ya know where this, please keep it to yourself.
Had a good look around, spied a few stags.
Knocked 2 x8s over at 660m with the 300wsm using 175g Targex pills=bad news for the deer.
Didn't see too many people which was good.
Had a couple nights under the fly, one night was a little moist.
Weather was epic mostly.
Very happy to get my first 8 pointers.
The young fella had a blast and did bloody well, and couldn't believe what waits in the hills.
