    Kawekas 1st January - 5th January 2016

First hunt for 2016, spent 5 days in the kawekas. Pretty average weather, rain, wind and fog but still good to be out there. The weather made hunting difficult for the first 4 days, we got out every day but only saw 5 deer, then the last morning the weather was perfect, no wind and a bit of clag about but fined up nicely. Saw 4 deer and got 2, a good way to end the adventure! YouTube link below.

Stop it, was at castle camp last year, but in march, so looks a bit different, only have to wait 2 months and back to Kaweka. Can't wait,

Hi Gibo - yeah looks that way! Was going to explain that in the vid but would have been a bit long winded, he made two trips, took Glen and most of the gear first trip then came back and picked up Ben, me and the dog so I was able to film take off for first load.

The cover on the end of my brake I made to keep water and crap out of my barrel as the ports on the brake are large

Hi craigc. Yes we both have custom NZHunter rifles. I wouldn't want to quote prices but if you email Greg he will send you a price list so you can pick and choose what you want done. They do a great job.

Kooza - yes all 3 of us are using the Bison 90 litre, awesome packs to carry, especially heavy loads. Best I have used.
