    Keeping them fed

Wife: "How much venison we got left?"
    Me: "Not much"
Wife: "I had to buy beef mince."
    Me: "oh"
    Kids: "These nachos taste weird"
Wife gives me that look, I get the hint.

Early start, a few hours of driving and walking later...

No, used the second last round of loaded 165gr SST. As usual they worked very well.

Looking forward to getting the BTs going. They shoot very well on the range, and based on quickload doing 2,775 fps with no pressure signs at all.

Worth a try Hunty1, they work very well, soft enough to open up on small stuff like wee fallow, but heavy enough to drive right through a big stag. So great in a bush rifle.

Still I'm keen to switch to the 150gr BTs as groups were brilliant.

Will be right for a while. Once all minced up it won't take long for my boys to chew through..

Can't have weird tasting nacho's. Clearly this came just in the nick of time.

better than me. Me and the lad are the 2 out of 5 in the house that like venni.
the oldest girl is nudging towards no meat on the plate at all.
just as well I don't get any deer it would just get wasted or at the least all given away.

Venison mince is great! Ive had smoke coming out of my george forman electric mincer a few times. Get your hands on one, or one of the other small electric mincers, great for mince.

Skinny looking animal. Winters not easy being a deer.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
