Possibly the easiest walk ever plus usually see a heap of deer on poronui which is a bonus. A chopper into oamaru public is quite possibly the biggest waste of money around. Each to there own tho!

When you are restricted in how many days you have got to hunt due to work commitments I would rather take a 5 min chopper ride over a 3.5 hour walk to maximise my hunting time. For a walk in trip to there you really need more than a saturday and a sunday or it is just not worth going
