    Last few months

I always try to get out every lot of my days off. been looking for a yearling or two to put in the freezer but had only been seeing hinds with fawns or stags until the last couple of weeks.
Couple of different hinds and stags

I have taken my mate out a number of times trying to get him a deer and everything finally lined up for us a couple of weeks ago and we got on to this yearling. Was good to get him a deer with him before he buggers off on his OE in a couple of months

I was out again thursday morning, a perfect morning. Not far off a frost, found a couple sunning themselves. Got in to 276m and had another one for the carbonlite .243

And managed to finally video it. First shot could have been a touch futher forward. She only went 10m down hill and the second shot dropped her on the spot, not on camera but you can hear the soild hit.

Shot looks fine to me. What pill are you running in the 243?
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

95gr Targex. I get very good consistant accuracy with them.

I slowed the vid down and the shot looks looks pretty good. You can actually see the bullet strike. Highish and right on the shoulder blade edge. It was a killing shot for sure.

I used the Targex for years in my .243 and they never let me down. Changed to 85 grn Interbonds to get 2 holes (in and out), but I can't seem to get them now so might have to go back to Targex soon.

(Later: Just found some at Workshop Innovations. Twice the price of Targex though - $99.50. That second hole is expensive)

Very good series of pics, it looks as if the empty freezer problem is fixed, never tried Targex bullets before but they obviously work.
