@Nathan F Talking of ringing in the ears ,were your ears burning this morning ? I blamed you for this wet retrieve, l could have done with out this morning on a Jet Boat hunt l did with the Missus, l put her on to this one on a productive river flat we hunt often when we get the boats out for a run & she dropped it at 110mtrs with her 270 ,after a bit of belly stalking through the low bush to get a clear shot ,she heart shot it & the zombie run put it in the river .

From now on l am going to refer to these wet retrieves as " Doing a Nath" ,might have to start carrying the snorkeling gear if l am going to follow your hunting advice .

Lol classic. Yeah I don’t know what it is. I’ve had 4 heart shot deer lately try and cross streams and rivers dead on their feet. Their legs stop working usually about half way. My last stag was a ripper he was feeding on a terrace and I shot from 50 m inside the bush which was very dark. Lost him in the recoil and smoke. Knew I’d got him when an almighty splash went up in the air from the general direction of the river

Congratulations to your better half too. The Bach looks epic
