Yes, although it's not worth a lot, but it is better to bring it out than leaving it to rot.

Ok thanks for that, being a flatlander out here in western NSW, I don't know much about that sort of thing. I bet the wearer of said velvet would have been in pretty good condition for chewing.

Have to be bloody happy with how the bullet preformed.
Nice bit of recovery good work from the porters and top work from the dog
Also you didn't need to get home at silly o'clock with all the risks that entails of stumbling around in the dark.
You also got to take some top photos on what looks like a stunning day

You are right @Boaraxa the bigger calibers usually always leave blood trails from exiting bullets but the smaller 6.5 cal are so accurate and so far have still done the job. I still like the 300 WM, and 30 06, they leave big holes.

Hay @Danny just a note on the 30 06 I was trying the 200 gr ELD X in my rifle and I think you did to but after several groups I gave up, sprayed them like a shotgun ( not quite) I think from memory you couldn't get them to group either. Changed back to 180 gr Noslar BT / Accubonds and shot an inch group. Velocity was excellent for the 200 gr bullet at 2703 fps but no accuracy.

Oh interesting, I also went back to the 180 Partition which is obviously a bullet proof bullet, a solid 1 Moa load and because of what it was I didn’t tweek at all.
I fired some 208 TTSX also and they shot very well but I couldn’t find any water buffalo to chase so gave that away.
