    The Melbourne Shot Show

We decided to go over to Melbourne to see family members & what do you know there was a Shot show on, on the same weekend even what a convenience that is

Fuel is a fair bit cheaper here....

Got on the Trams, awesome things they are, interesting sculpture on the way

    We got there early

Here is the queue with just over half an hour to opening & it just got longer.

Nearly first in line once they sorted the cash sales & prepaid lines, they held us there for 10 mins or so until in was time to enter...

First row of rifles as you walked in the door, some special bits of kit there

    Found the new Swaro.

Very nice scope, just like the new spotter with illuminated reticle, shame it doesn't have an angled eye piece.

Then I found the highlight of the show, they just blew me away

Fluted scope tubes, whatever next...... like the Lingerie Football League players wandering around with a camera man......

The guys were really talking them up, its a series 4 not three as its the prototype, FFP no less...

Not sure where they were made, but at $1300+ Aussie they surely weren't el cheapos......they make range finding binos to that looked the same for $2800+ Aussie....

Then I found a cut away version of a real scope.

Fair bit of stuff inside the scope, it is missing the Titanium erector spring.

Some of the threads are really fine, I'm sure he said some had a pitch of 100.

    Very interesting to look at.

Between noon & 2pm it was absolutely packed, a really good show on the whole I can remember seeing 387 on a stand number & it wasn't the last one, all sorts of stuff there including Gun Dog demos & the usual seminars, did I mention the Lingerie Football League players

The Goody bags were great the Berretta Aussie one you got as you walked in, caught up with a few Guys & had a great time might have to go back tomorrow morning

Yep but great for carrying your sweatshirt when you start to overheat

Also found some really lightweight stocks, I tried to tell them to make the fore end smaller/thinner, I hope they listen, they were bloody awesome 500 ish grams with a Limbsaver & basically perfect......... like McMillan perfect inletting & finish, the price was not

Yep had a look at them, the big 50 sitting right out the front as you walk in with plenty of its smaller siblings, nice bits of kit but the Sako M10 is a really really nice bit of kit with plenty of features & decent mag length to take the 300s

Went again on Sunday morning, here is the Sako M10, there should be 5 pre-sold ones here soon, if they aren't already.

Very nice rifle system, next to its predecessor.

Found a couple of Night Forces.

    And some extremely nice rifles.

    Then back home again

It was a great trip, well worth it, looking forward to the next one
