    Monday and Tuesday

A couple of days working out of town this week. Slipped out for a couple of evening hunts while I was at it.

    Common.
Can tell by the black/dark center of tail and the scutes marking the edges of the white rump patch.
    Menil dont have that.

This is a Menil....note the tail colour and lack of scutes.

@Sarvo I had stopped at a brother-in-law's place in Masterton on the way home and then bumped into a neighbour when I got out of the ute at home so by the time I got to my gate all that was left was the Fallow All of the Red had been given away during the 2.5 hour drive.

@Sako 75 the Fallow was doing it well but the Red was a bush dweller and wasn't in quite as a good a nick. Still ok though. Those Fallow know how to sniff out the decent feed and can hide in a handkerchief of scrub. Its getting dangerously dry over in the Wairarapa where I was (for the cockies and for fires).
