I know I wouldn't shoot the moose. Just too much NZ hunter history and culture and Id love to think they have survived!

But with all the talk of big cats, If a leopard or jaguar type big cat walked out in front of me, Id drop it in a heart beat. The difference to me is one belongs too our culture. One doesn't.

Hardly that good - Lotto is won many times every single year. All we get now are people saying they saw the winning ticket for a brief few seconds.

Oscar is a die hard doesnt-believe-in-the-moose guy. Whereas I am the opposite, I put my belief in science and eye witnesses.

Didn't you talk about doing a lone hikoi around Fiordland looking for them at one stage?
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Yes I did, me and another moose specialist. Found typical browsing sign in Henry burn. It wasnt really hard to find either. I think one of my conclusions was that no one was looking very hard. This was about ten years ago though

It's like arguing politics or religion - no amount of discussion, evidence or anything else is going to change either sides opinion.

I'd like to think they are still there.

I wouldn't shoot a Moose if I saw on either. I would however shoot a Sasquatch instantly, mainly as revenge for waking up beside a few years back.

I think Ken Tustin would disagree with that.
