    Never tried to get the filet out without a full gutting job.

    Yeah, havent gutted one for a while. Normally bone then all out and leave the fillets.

    I didn't show it on this video, but being nosey buggers, we opened up the chest to see what the two mighty .243 projectiles had done. One was a 95g Berger and the other a 90g SST, I was actually suprised how little the damage was.

    Two .243s deliver more mass than the average 30 cal!

    what about the heart. If it hasn't got a hole in it , I like to take them home cause you can eat them fresh while the other stuff hangs.
    maybe a 100mm holesaw would do the trick !

    I've never eaten the heart. The dog usually does!

    Feel for the gap between the second and third rib, cut in from about a third ofthe way up it, down to the front of the rib cage, toward the rear of the animal through the cartilage about 6 inches. Then break the ribs open and reach in and pull it out.
