    My 2012 roar adventures

    Hey guys,
Just got back from the Ruakiki wilderness. Good times. Got a couple of reds and a couple of fallow. I was just after meat so didn't get any stags.

The bigger of the red spikers I shot

    A fallow spiker I shot

    Every morning was like this

    Awesome terrain up there

Nothing wrong with stocking the freezer and you picked prime animals for that. Cheers for the post. I spose you N islanders have the odd bit of scenery eh, it just seems to be the same 2 little foot hills from different angles

I'm getting some salami and sausage etc made up this time. Figured I'd get a butcher to do the work as last time I boned out a fallow I realized is not as straightforward as I thought!

Who uses what butchers around Auckland? I ended up going out to kaipara meats which is waaaaay out west
