@Kimber 7mm-08
I’m curious to know if you’ve been able to settle on reasons as to why you were missing close range shots? It’s a really interesting subject because we’ve all done it and it can be inexplicable (as well as maddening). I’ve watched others that I’m guiding do it a good couple of times and there’s been some learnings in that for me (and them).
I note that you said you were using a .300 WSM. That’s a Kimber in the photo, right? I’ll put a starter for 10 on the table and ask whether the heavy recoil impulse in such a light rifle is potentially causing significant muzzle flip? Another question I would have about the rifle is what is the trigger pull weight?
I’ve some ideas about close range snap shooting that have been distilled over the years and it’s an interesting discussion to have.
