    New 308 neck shot

Finally started the count for the summer at 5.30am this morning. The freezer was very empty so I needed a neck shot with the new tikka with its 22"barrel.Old tikka had a 18"barrel,was just too noisy with a suppresser. This new tikka a lot quieter. The neck very jelly bone chip inside with the Hornady 165 sst sailing right thru from a 185yd shot.Blow flys were early on the job,I had to cut off n get legs in the truck quick smart.

    Nice fat animal!

Yeah the blowies are out in full force here too.

I’ll be on the deer for a few weeks from next week and I’m busy rustling up as many cloth bags as possible thanks to the wife’s sewing machine. Just don’t tell the wife because she hates me using it…

yeah I snaffled all those already. We recently changed out all the bedlinen as it was pretty ropey - Man you should see the body sized light brown stains that teenagers can make on white linen. Uurrggghhh. So I’ve got quite a few sheets to cut up. After a very hot wash!
