I also didn't realise there were Sika up there, have you any photos you could share of Sika from your hunting area?

Often when hunting deer in the native bush here in NZ you will see and if lucky shoot deer within 15 metres. My first stag I ever shot we roared in, he charged in through the ferns and as soon as I identified him I pulled the trigger. He dropped only four metres from the log we sat behind! A moment I'll never forget!

I rember the morning I shot the chinese water deer very well ,in that morning I was invited to Bedfordshire by a head ranger who placed me up a high seat before it got light and said we will meet up at breakfast time , it was still quite dark but starting to get light when the chinese water deer came out at about 80 yards- the first CWD I had ever seen -I put the scope on it and could only just make it out and shot it , gutted it and put it behind the high seat - just settled down in the seat and out came a muntjac buck -shot that ,gutted it and put it behind the high seat, by breakfast time I had shot 4 deer. We met up at breakfast time and the ranger was pleased because they needed to have a heavy cull on the deer in this wood . After breakfast he told me to go to this other high seat at the other side of the wood - to walk up a ride till I found a ride going right to this other high seat about 300 yards. I needed to have a piss, so there I stood with manhood in hand and rifle on my shoulder when a muntjac came onto the ride about 50 -60 yards away -letting go of what I was holding to get my rifle slowly off the shoulder I shot the muntjac with my dick still hanging out, pissed on my boots and trousers. Walked up to the high seat and about 1 hour later shot another CWD. A morning to remember
