    new little pig

Got a new model 7 308 last week, Chucked a vx3i 3-10 on her. Put a post up o0n the forum asking about good pills to use load data etc and got helped out by a heap of fellas on here so thanks a heap. Got some 150 sierra game king. 47grns had an ok group at 100m going 2770 then 48grns had a tidy group going 2820 so I settled for them as too impatient to try others once I get a good group. So I loaded another 4 bombs up and went for a 5 hour bush stalk this evening. Stalked in on 18 odd hinds and fawns. Settled for a yearling at about 20m. Gameking laid her down no problems, exited after mushing up lungs and making a good old mess. So took meat and wondered on out , stalking a couple stags on way then smacking 3 goats at 30 odd meters also. Chucked meat in chiller to hang for a week or two and the jobs right. Beer time. Sierras seem very good killers. Big open wounds, but will be interesting come the roar, time will tell on that. Cheers again.

Amazing that lead core bullets can still kill deer these days

You do know you could have brought the latest trendy monolithic ttsx projectiles for 4x the price and done the same job?

I have the same rifle, apart from having a dpt and a Bushnell scope. Love it !
I have not tried Sierras in it yet though.
