A Nice Morning in the Kaweka's

    Greetings All,
Now in Level 2 and a few jobs finished so it was time for an old duffer to go for a short walk in the Kaweka's. A gentleman's hours start saw me walking through a patch of Douglas Fir at the start of the Kuri Hill track to Kiwi Saddle. This is my favourite training track to keep the body a little bit mobile. I don't go all that far and today was no exception. Anyway I turned around to look down the gully and thought the view was worth a snap.

A day always looks better after that.

You might have seen Inky's boy on the way out Neil? He would have been the one looking like a drowned rat
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Didn't see him, just a couple of trampers. I probably beat him back to the car park.

Yes, a day out of the box. There had been enough rain to wash out the week ends boot prints on the track and I was happy to see some deer prints. The snap was taken with my bat phone as I didn't take my camera. Pity I could have snapped a pair of Pied Tits later on. One of the advantages of being an old duffer is that you can pick your days to do things. The road end is only 50 km from our house so I go there quite a bit on weekdays. Have not seen it look quite like that before though.
