Thread: A not so short story

We went to our spot X today as we haven't been there for a while.
A late start was the order of the day as I had to put the strain gages on the rifles I got back this morning for testing tomorrow
The weather was good but visiblity was average, the deer weren't playing ball so we decided to go & find some Stinkies to dispatch.
Found some, the ones we snuck up on weren't that silly & buggered off before we got to them, but they were silly enough to stand up on a rock.
Two shots two goats, 275 & 317 yards, found some more, shot another 6 from 475 to 535 yards only missed 3 times, the buggers wouldn't stay still

Good old VX3 CDS on a Montana 308 with 125 bts the ultimate long range rifle......LOL

Went back to have a look for some Deer we saw one each, very fleetingly..........

Nice drive though, back in time for tea
