Nice one. The smaller ones are better eating anyway
I see at least 3 meals there...apple sauce on the side.... good shooting.enjoy the pork.
Yep, looks like a good eater and easy to carry
Stick an apple in its mouth and spit roast it whole
Cheers guys, saw 2 deer on the way out but they will keep for next time.
From your deck chair, nice job.
Well Done .
That & same relative size for Deer, have always been known as Snack Packs in my Hunting Circles , some of the best meat on offer ,while l was guiding in the mountains of Argentina ,Italy & Spain ,when we were invited by the Land Owners for a meal ,they would serve pig on the Spit slightly smaller as a great delicacy & when cooked properly it just melts in your mouth .In Argentina that would be simply split down the Centre, props placed in the rib cage to "butterfly ' it & propped on the edge of the fire & flipped as it cooks ,one of the best feeds l have ever had.
Like the SAFers with their braai, the Argentinians just love putting on an asado. It looks a bit weird to us Kiwis just propping stuff up beside the fire pit but it sure works.
Some great tips guys now I just have to make a decision on which way to cook it.
You guys have given me some great options and my mouth is watering.
My Argentinian friend did this with a wild goat kid I shot. Everyone preferred it over venison.
