    Old Farts...

    Out and about. Some pics (and something for @stug to look at to help with the boredom).

    I shot this at 340 yards with the 6.5x55. It was trying to make good its escape. Probably thought it had plenty of time 'cos of our chrome walkers glinting in the sun and grey hair. The 140 grain Speer Gold Dots work well.

    We split up and I saw a few but they were nice Red spikers with potential, too far away to get to or hinds. Eventually I got onto this guy. Not actually a spiker. More like 3 year old. 260 odd yards. Centre shoulder hit. Poll-axed.

    The way your S@L goes it makes you wonder if all the others are needed. I guess it will make the cut when you start reducing the rifle herd?

    Nah, its a 300WM tube gun built on a Rem Action that is epoxied into the circular receiver part of the chasis.
