I think that they are very similar or the same as Federal Fusion which are boded through some sort of fusing process. On the 2nd of those 2 deer the bullet went right through and left some substantive damage. Have a pic but wont post it here. Yuck. Muzzle velocity is 2840 fps.
Brian uses 150 grain Fusions in his 300win mag at 3300 fps and they don't blow up. Im certain that the Gold Dots wouldn't either. Gold Dots get very good reviews.
They are shooting about .5 moa in my rifle.
Interestingly I couldn't get them to shoot in my .223 (55 &62 grn) or the 140's in my 6.5 prc.
I have 60 of the 6.5 left and then like everything else supply will become a problem.
