    We met on the track from Lakes carpark to Kiwi Saddle in September, happy new year to you. This link ( MapsPast | Current and historical topographic maps (topomaps) of New Zealand ) will take you to a great mapping site with all the old NZ topo maps on it. They will give you an idea of the general location of the old huts that were there. I stayed in the Kaweka Hut about a month before it burn't down and are hoping to get back there for a nosey soon.
